BDM moving into their new 6000 sq ft premises
BDM moved into their new 6000 ft premises in February. Located very close to the A5 BDM now has a more central location, just around the corner from the MK Dons football stadium. The new building has four times more workshop floor space with two ramps, two car bays and space for a new alignment ramp which is due to be installed in March. From the outside a the building has a clean, modern glass frontage with customer parking. Inside the workshop is a purpose built fabrication room and engine building room. Upstairs is the main office and the customer waiting area and displays. Home comforts like tea and coffee, and X-box 360 are available, to make you stay as comfortable as possible whilst you wait. Our new address and telephone number can be found on our home page.
Audi TT 1.8T in the workshop for 2.0T stroker kit
Once the dust had settled down from the move BDM took delivery of a customers Mk 1 Audi TT 1.8T. The car was due for a major overhaul of work which included stripping out the engine and getting it re-bored to fit the 2.0ltr stroker kit, with forged rods and pistons, fitting of large port head, turbo, clutch kit, and some VT engine mounts. With the car already running a BDMGT2860 big turbo kit performance was already impressive but this will take the car to the next level. More results on this car to follow.
BDM K04 kit on the popular Golf Mk V
Another interesting job in February was when Kenny brought his BDM track prepared Golf Mk V in for some chassis tweaks and to get his KW suspension serviced and set-up. The car had previously already had the BDM K04 turbo kit fitted so power wasn't an issue. It was the handling of the car that needed refining for the race track. BDM performed a full geometry set-up on the car including corner weighting to ensure the balance of the car is spot-on. The car is now perfectly poised for a track assault!
