BDM's first race with the Lamborghini Gallardos at Silverstone
An 11th hour deal has come together for BDM to run two Lamborghini Gallardos in this seasons Britcar endurance championship. The team will be preparing and running both cars with Simon Atkinson & Glen McMenamin behind the wheel of the #28 car (Panic Racing by BDM) and Fiona James & TBC second driver in car #27 (Fiona James Racing by BDM). Both cars are built to GT3 spec and required alot of perparation before the first round took place at Silverstone on March the 26th. The team did well to turn both cars around, ready for the first race, where BDM and their drivers acheived a fantastic result of 2nd in class and 4th in overall classification. Full weekends race report to follow. The next round will be taking place at Rockingham on April the 16th.
New State of the Art four wheel alignment ramp fitted in the workshop
A brand new addition to the workshop is BDM's very own four wheel alignment ramp. The pro align, alignment ramp enables BDM to do set-up's on a whole range of makes and modles of cars spanning anything from a basic every day car to race prepared cars. Every alignment done by BDM comes with a before and after print out showing the measurments for Camber, castor and toe on all four wheels, so you know you wont be suffereing any longer from excessive tyre wear and an off centre steering wheel!
An introduction to Simon, BDM's newest team member.
March also see's BDM take on a new member of staff. Introducing... Simon Bellenger. Simon is a tecnician with over 20 years experiance and skills from a wide range motorsport that has ranged from BTCC, British GT, British Rally Championship, Porsche Carerra Cup, Ferrari 430 challenge cup & ALMS. As well as taking on an important roll in the everyday workshop, he major boost to BDM as they enter their first full season of Britcar endurance championship.
