BDM Blog September 2010

Three of the best from BDM this September 2010. This month we check out our favourite cars, projects and expeditions which include...
- Ceramic brakes retro fitted to an Audi R8 V10
- A track Geo on the Ariel Atom, plus our latest lightweight wheel set with slicks.
- BDM supported Spa & Ring road trip.
One customer wanted to track his V10 R8 and wanted better stopping power.
The answer... Ceramic brake upgrade! The ceramics not only give better stopping power, but they also reduce un-sprung weight, as the ceramics weigh considerably less than the steel discs. The conversion included callipers, discs, and pads, plus a few other parts. The brakes look stunning behind the big 19" rims and the performance is second to none.
With BDM's extensive knowledge and racing history, we are well equipped to offer a great track set-up for the Ariel Atom.
This month we did a track geometry set-up as well as supplying a set of Compomotive MO5 wheels and super sticky Dunlop slick tyres.
During the middle of the month BDM went along to Spa Francorchamps and the Nurburgring to support some old and new customers.
The trip was organised through the PureGT forum and BDM was on hand to offer transportation and track services. We had the pleasure of transporting a Porsche 997 Gen 1 GT3 and also took various wheels and tyres for customers. Here is a list of just some of the cars we were lucky enough to support... Lamborghini Gallardo LP560, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Porshce Carrera GT, 997 GT3 RS Gen I & II's, 997 GT3 Gen I & II's, 996 GT3, 996 turbo, Boxster S, Calloway Corvette GT, KTM X-bow & BMW M3 CSL...
The trip was a great success with everyone enjoying trouble free track time.
Whats to come in October...

- BMW CSL gets a once over
