BDM Xbow Charge Cooler

The KTM Xbow uses the 2.0 TFSI engine from Audi which is usually fitted in the front of the car with an intercooler to cool the pressurised air being fed from the turbo to the engine. On the Xbow the engine is fitted in the rear of the car and KTM have decided to fit a water cooled charge cooler to do the same job. We have discovered that when the Xbow is pushed hard the standard cooler cannot cope with the heat and we have seen several failures. To resolve this issue we have developed the BDM uprated charge cooler.

The new unit is 25% larger than standard, and uses high quality motorsport spec components. Even on the road with normal use we have logged intake temperatures 10 degrees down from the standard unit. In high stress situations on track we have now logged even more significant gains.

Low intake temperatures achieved with this uprated charge cooler, significantly improve performance and reduce stress on the engine.
