BDM 1.8T Stage 1, 2 & 3 Engine Internal Upgrade

The weak link in the 1.8T engine, when its pushed hard are the connecting rods. If reliability is the key to your cars success then we can provide a drive in - drive out service at our Milton Keynes workshop.

This service is performed with the engine block in the car and we offer 3 stage options.
Stage 1 -

• Engine internal inspection
• Head skimmed
• Valves removed, inspected and lapped in.
• Replace Valve stem seals
• Replace Valve guides
• Head gasket and bolts
• BDM Forged 144 x 20mm connecting rod kit
• Connecting rod bearings
• Piston Pins, rings and circlips
• Labour

Stage 2 -

• Engine internal inspection
• Head skimmed
• Valves removed, inspected and lapped in.
• Valve stem seals
• Head gasket and bolts
• BDM Forged 144x20mm connecting rod kit
• Connecting rod bearings
• BDM Forged low compression Piston kit. 81mm 8.5:1
• Labour

Stage 3 -

• Engine internal inspection
• Head skimmed and gas flowed
• Light weight Valves springs and retainers.
• Uprated Valve stem seals
• Head gasket and bolts
• BDM Forged 144x20mm connecting rod kit
• Connecting rod bearings
• BDM Forged low compression Piston kit. 81mm 8.5:1
• Labour

If further parts are found to be worn or damaged during the inspection they will be charged for seperately. Failure of some components may also require the engine to be removed and extra labour will be charged for this service.
