When tuning the 1.8T & 2.0 TFSi one of the first elements to show a weakness is the standard clutch. Additional torque levels overpower the clutch friction and the plates slip. Our uprated clutch packs give you increased torque handling without losing pedal feel. Improved friction materials mean that we can increase power handling without using ridiculously hard spring plates, so there is no need to have a 'heavy pedal'.
2.0TFSi Clutch Options...
You have the choice of maintaining your original dual mass flywheel with an uprated clutch pack or using a single mass lightened flywheel clutch kit with either an organic or 6 paddle drive plate. Lightened flywheels allow the engine to gain revs more easily with less rotational mass to overcome. However, lightened flywheels do tend to have a rattle on idle that increases when the engine is hot. This is a normal characteristic that is usually masked by the standard dual mass flywheel.
